I want to thank everyone for praying for the ability for me to eat more food. Nothing has changed yet, but I wait in faith for God to move. I do have another request for prayer. I need a new roof for house and have no money to pay for one. I ask that God will open a door for financial help to pay for another one. Thank you. and may God meet all the needs posted here.

Please pray for Paul and Carol in Ireland. Pray for the healing of our marriage and that we are healed from the trauma of divorce. That we love respect and treat each other as God commands us to. Pray for unity, intimacy and compatibility between us in everything and our physical relationship. Pray also for Carol as she is due to get a day surgery that this goes well and for recovery. Thank you Paul.

Would you please keep my son Andrew age 36 married with a toddler in your prayers. He lost his job this evening at the end of the day. There was no corrective action prior and they just told him he was not a good fit after being there a year. We are heart broken and don't have any words to express our hurt. I believe that God will find him something better but right now my words are tears. Thank you so so much for this group that truly brings our requests before the Lord.

Would you join us as we pray together, lifting our burdens to the Lord?
Your Word tells us that,
“God is our refuge and strength,
an ever-present help in trouble.” Psalm 46:1
We cling to Your promises for us there. Thank You that we can cry out to you in a moment, and know that You are ever-present to bring us help. We are asking for those we care about today, for those who are hurting. Would You be their strength and refuge in the midst of the storms they are facing? We have known Your help in trouble--please remind us again how faithful You have been in the past. Help us to trust that You will be faithful today too.
In the name of Your son, Jesus, we pray,

I have many allergies and multiple chemical sensitivities. I have developed severe food allergies. I've lost 40 lbs. and am now down to 96 lbs. I can only eat 3 foods and have to eat often because of hypoglycemia. I am having to spend a lot of time in bed because of weakness. Doctors treatments don't work or I have reactions to treatments. I would appreciate prayers for ability to eat more food again.

Dear fellow sufferers,
I hardly know where to start writing this, but a bit of my history so you know how to pray. I was born premature at 1 lb, (am 53 now) have rare genetic disorders, rare chronic issues that no doctor has been able to figure out yet, had 35 surgeries, 15 of them on my eyes, in the end I lost the one eye (have prosthesis) the other one, thankfully, is doing good. Have rare pituitary disease, was in a serious accident which left me with even more pain, late stage Lyme disease, fibromyagia, chronic exhaustion, and a host of other chronic disorders. Been married to a wonderful precious husband who has faithfully walked beside me for 30 years, (celebrated 30th last year) for which I am very grateful. We both became Christians after we got married, and he's been an amazing support but he is struggling a lot right now as well. I have seen dozens of doctors over the years, some of whom have given me "temporary relief" but nothing lasts. I'm sure many of you can relate to that. In the past couple months I've had 3 more surgeries back-to-back, and have been very sick. I do love Jesus but I feel weary & forsaken to where I feel God doesn't care anymore either. (which I know in my heart isn't true, but I still feel that way) I used to feel God could use me in the midst of my suffering, and I don't feel that anymore. The physical pain is extremely difficult, but the pain in my heart is even greater by people "in the church", who aren't understanding. (but we are thankful for those who do care) The medical expenses are too great for us anymore, and that is a huge burden. Everything is overwhelming, especially with recovering from the last surgeries, (the last one was 2 weeks ago) and after all those years of chronic pain and exhaustion, I feel everything has come crashing down on me. I feel hopeless, and in despair. Is there someone out there that can pray that I can have hope. I would be so grateful. Thank you very much! Anna

#PrayerMonday is an invitation to pray for this ministry, for those affected by chronic physical and/or mental illness, and for each prayer request tossed into our Prayer Pond. We’ve created a Prayer Focus calendar and encourage you to sign-up and commit to praying during a specific hour – to link arms with us in bringing radical hope and compassionate change to the world through the power of prayer.
Would you like to offer a kind word, encouragement, an inspiring quote, or prayer to a fellow chronic illness traveller? On hard days when it seems almost impossible to take one more step, sometimes it soothes the spirit to extend ourselves a bit. Writing a note to a fellow traveller could be just that.
And it’s simple to do!
Stop by the Prayer Pond and as you read through the requests, when God tugs at your heart, pause and pray, then consider writing a note, card or letter to encourage that person too.
Or let us choose. You write the note of encouragement and we’ll choose the recipient.
Send your card to: Card Ministry, c/o Chronic Joy, 1015 Lemira Circle, Waukesha, WI 53188 and we’ll send it on for you.
Would you like to receive a note of encouragement? We invite you to sign-up, and as our mailbox fills up, we’ll forward a little love to you.
REQUEST A CARD
From time to time our hearts are moved to send old-school notes to those in our community. May we bless you with tangible expressions of love and community? *US residents only.
SEND A CARD
Would you like to send a note or letter offering prayer and encouragement? Mail your unsealed cards and letters to us and we will send them on to someone in our community.
Have you ever given thought to why Moses would stand on a hill with his arms open? The battle went well as long as his arms were lifted high and open, but when he faltered, the warriors lost ground. Lifted high, his arms represented his openness and willingness, praying in line with God, and interceding on behalf of the Israelites. INTERCESSORY PRAYER - WHAT IS IT? ...READ MORE
Listening to the Falling Rain Is it possible to pause in the middle of our heavy-laden and pain-filled prayers to listen? Consider how you might listen - without effort - to the falling rain. What if our prayers could be heard as responses from God Himself? This passage from Deuteronomy seems to suggest that God wants to let His teaching become personal to us, filling our dry places with...READ MORE
The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still. (Exodus 14:14) What a promise and what a challenge! Be still when the world says take charge, run faster, push harder, do more, make it happen – whatever it is. Just do it! This passage is written as a command, to be “done” or really not done without exception. How do you reconcile the line between being a wise advocate and when you...READ MORE

Inspired by the ancient teachings of St. Anthony and the Desert Fathers,The Way of the Heart clears before us a spiritual path consisting of three stepping-stones: Solitude (learning not to be alone but to be alone with God); Silence (the discipline by which the inner fire of God is tended and kept alive); and Prayer (standing in the presence of God with the mind in the heart).

Do you long for a deep, fundamental change in your life with God? Do you desire a greater intimacy with God? Do you wonder how you might truly live your life as God created you to live it? Spiritual disciplines are activities that open us to God’s transforming love and the changes that only God can bring about in our lives. Picking up on the monastic tradition of creating a “rule of life” that allows for regular space for the practice of the spiritual disciplines, this book takes you more deeply into understanding seven key disciplines along with practical ideas for weaving them into everyday life.
Christians are taught in their churches and schools that prayer is the most powerful way to experience God. But few receive instruction or guidance in how to make prayer genuinely meaningful. In Prayer, renowned pastor Timothy Keller delves into the many facets of this everyday act.
This collection of short stories, reflections, and poems from Jill Briscoe centers on the theme of our relationship with God, and how that relationship must be our daily priority in good times and bad.
