Anything that helps another person can be a gentle touch of kindness – praying, smiling, sending an encouraging note or text. There are many instances in the Bible where Jesus used a gentle touch – in healing, blessing children, comforting.
Jesus starts to speak about those who are blessed—and what he says rocks your world. In short, blessed are those who stand against the cultural tides and who follow the Lord, for they will find God’s kingdom.
To love without labels we must take the time to talk to others and ask questions. Search for that deep treasure within the one who is hurting and longing for a touch of kindness and fellowship.
Does it upset me that things seem to grow more difficult with each passing day? Of course! Yet, weak or strong, God’s strength is sufficient. Instead of dwelling on my inability, may I always remember that He can do all things, even through one as weak as me.
After being hit with a chronic illness, we may feel broken, yet we remain whole. We can embrace what the Lord does with the pieces of our lives as He meets us where we are, and then heals our hearts and leads us forward, in His time and in His way.
