A grandmother but young at heart, Gayl enjoys exploring creativity through writing, poetry, nature photography, art, crocheting, and piano. She loves coffee, tea, chocolate, and jeans. Gayl has been married to Steve for nearly 50 years, with 7 children and 14 grands (some have chronic illnesses, and one son is now with Jesus). Always learning and writing from her heart about life, her desire is to know God better, glorify Him, and encourage others. She is the author of Journey into Light.
God uniquely created each of us in His image and with ability to create, if only in a small way. Our God-given imagination fuels creativity. It can help us tell stories to encourage others, bring beauty through words and art, help us work through difficult situations, or to entertain and make someone happy.
Because of His unmeasurable love and mercy, God looked down on mankind and had compassion. His grace is widespread and bountiful. He never leaves us.
Serving others by giving almost comes naturally to me, because my mother set a good example. She loved making things for others, and it gave her great joy. God has given me opportunities to share my creative gifts with others over the past few years. Not only do the receivers appreciate the gifts, but I find joy.
Grieving is chronic, though not a disease. It doesn’t just come once and disappear. When you lose someone, you experience a grief that will never completely go away. Grief also comes to those with chronic illnesses. They have had to grieve many losses including some of their dreams.
