It isn’t easy to accept and manage such changes, so be kind to yourself as you adjust and figure out ways to manage your new normal.
It isn't easy to accept getting sick. Acceptance doesn’t mean you give in to it. Acceptance takes time. It’s part of the grieving process, the part that ushers you from the past to the future.
You’ve likely experienced a myriad of emotions related to being stricken with a chronic illness. How do you deal with those emotions? Do you find healthy outlets for them or do you feel so overwhelmed that you keep them locked inside?
