Jesus, as we begin another work week, may your Spirit empower us with gentleness, kindness, and good words for others. As you spoke this world into existence, so speak beauty, quiet, and caring deep into our souls.
In this Oasis of Hope, we marvel at the kindness, creativity and glory of our awesome God. We see how even in the hardest times His sustaining grace will carry us. And we learn how surrendering to him with reckless abandon can lead to wonder and awe and creativity in our own lives, with true freedom.
Forever and ever, in the perfection of our life in the new heaven and new earth, our experience of your kindness will increase. This promise overwhelms the circuit board of my understanding, throws fuel on the fire of my longings, and reveals the paucity of my faith.
Yes, Father, extremely YES … give me an undivided heart that I may fear your name, praise you with all my heart and glorify your name forever.
