Hope for When Mental Illness Comes Home
Mental illness doesn't happen because you failed to pray enough, you don’t have enough faith, or you don’t read your Bible enough...it is an illness.

Today, I am writing from within the marrow of depression and anxiety when I have no answers, poignant quotations, or anything beautiful to say. I do know this: I'vehad the window open, istening on one of the first warm spring days. By the time you read this I will have almost forgotten about today.
I am speaking out my shame in chronic illness so that it can no longer chain me with its lies. ... shame has taken up in my thoughts, so that we can tear down its stronghold.
My strengths are closely tied to what I label as “weaknesses.” Perhaps it’s about focusing on the parts that are helpful and letting the other stuff go.
