Cultivating Contentment

I realize God invites me to honestly express the struggles of chronic pain to Him and trusted family and friends, but He also calls me to cultivate contentment.
We can either worry ourselves into despair or lean into the Lord’s help and care. For me, it’s a matter of admitting my desperate dependence on His strength and grace on both good days and bad.
The persistent press of chronic pain makes me weary. Resting in God Himself – surrendering my fears and hopes to His will – offers a fresh perspective.
The Bible is my ultimate source of consolation. Psalm 119:50: This is my comfort in my affliction, for Your word has given me life.
