Karin is a handmaiden of the Lord, saved by grace, a worshiper, a poet, a broken heart, a lover of words, His work in progress on the Potter's wheel. She is hungry for truth and amazed by love. After five years in Africa, Karin and Rick (her beloved husband of almost twenty-five years) are back in rural Canada, where chronic pain drives her to the feet of Jesus. She is powered by prayer, love, and many cups of strong coffee. She is the author of From Ashes to Glory (A Psalm a Day).
There are times we pray safe and there are times we pray dangerous. In the moment of surrender, we declare “Lord, let Your will, not mine be done. Glorify Yourself in my life. Whatever it is you want from me, I’ll do anything.” The anything He chose for me was to walk through a medical condition I didn't expect.
Does it upset me that things seem to grow more difficult with each passing day? Of course! Yet, weak or strong, God's strength is sufficient. Instead of dwelling on my inability, may I always remember that He can do all things, even through one as weak as me.

God is always working in our lives turning troubles into blessings. Even wasps and their stings can be blessings in disguise.
I don’t think I am alone in this fight to shake off numbness and reach for joy. And I don't want to become comfortable with this frozen feeling.
