The cloak of chronic illness does not define you and does not limit God’s plans for your life. Perhaps you are struggling to see your purpose in your pain. I promise you, my friend, even if you can’t see it, your purpose is there – the Bible says so!
The pursuit of happiness is not bad because God placed the original desire in our hearts! True and complete happiness is found only in Him.
Every day our culture bombards us with messages of self-empowerment. We are told to take charge of our life, push ourselves to the max, and have a “can do” attitude. Every day your illness may bring many challenges, but you can rest in God’s loving arms, reminding yourself, “God’s got it!” You were never meant to do this alone!
When life gets squirrelly, it’s easy to see the first or flashiest source of hope as our safeguard, but just as a human is no home for a baby squirrel, there is no replacement for Jesus in our lives.
