I relish the gift of finding a personal letter in my mailbox, especially on hard days. Written words have a unique capacity to convey God’s grace (as described in Chronic Joy’s printable resource, #PenToPaper). I vividly recall a particular afternoon when the Lord used a simple note card to bring me much-needed hope.
Daily life with chronic illness can be extremely stressful. However, it’s only fitting (and scriptural) that we as believers develop and nurture a spirit of hope and optimism about the future. I find that laughter is a key ingredient in helping me hold onto that spirit.
I am rediscovering my purpose as defined by the Word, not the world. Nothing can thwart God’s purpose for me as I trust in Him.
