UPDATE on my sister-in-law, Ruth. Her first few days home from the hospital were rough as she had trouble with some meds. That's been cleared up now and as of today she is feeling better, slowly regaining strength. She has a home health care nurse check on her several times a week and also physical therapy. Please pray for continued healing and strength. Thank you!

I have battled depression for an extremely long time. It includes anxiety and panic. I was stable for quiet some time, until recently coming off the medicine and having to almost immediately be put back on.
I’m grateful to God that He has His healing hands on you and I. Also, for His grace and mercy through this process. I’m asking for prayers please for His divine healing and restoration in my mind and body. It has been a rough five weeks so far trying to feel well and stable. Please also pray for a family healing.
Thank you so much and God bless you.

My partner, Emma, is the most depressed I have ever seen her. I am part of the problem, so she can get no solace from me. I can only pray that this leaves her.
Please pray for her to feel better and more encouraged about the future.
Please pray for me, so that I can be the person she needs and deserves.

I am dealing with health issues and have for a long time. I am stiff, achy, tired. It seems somewhat related to my hormone cycle and that’s all over the place too with it not being regular. I have tried so many things and had doctors dismiss me as just being fat. My thyroid is off and I’ve been treated but the medicine makes me sick as well so I am breaking the meds in half to try to feel better. I’m just tired and worn down from trying to lose weight and feel better, to be honest.

My husband suffers from depression, is a pastor and he runs a recovery center for men in addiction. Please join me in praying for complete deliversance from this, peace and understanding for me as it often brings me down, as I don't know how to help him but to pray. Thank you.

UPDATE on my sister-in-law, Ruth. She went home from the hospital yesterday, so she is doing much better. She still needs to regain strength and continue healing, but we are so thankful she has come this far. Many thanks to you who have prayed and especially thanks to our Lord and Savior.

Truly, I have felt your prayers over these past few weeks. Tomorrow, I begin the first of my new RA infusions. This is almost exactly one year after my last RA infusion that failed terribly. Will you pray that my heart will stay trusting the Lord and His great care and that this new medication will be received by my body? Thank you so much.

I have a recurrence of cancer and need to make a lot of decisions regarding treatment and other life issues. I have other chronic illnesses, as well. I am also a part-time caregiver for a loved one with dementia. I need God's guidance and peace during this stressful , uncertain time. Thank you.

UPDATE on my sister-in-law, Ruth. She is now in a regular room and is better, though still quite weak. She isn't able to eat much yet. But she felt better enough to want to walk a little in the hallway. Please pray for her husband, Gary, as this is taking a toll on him, too. He needs to make sure he also cares for himself to get rest and eat when he needs to. Pray for wisdom for him and for others to chip in and help. We would if we could but we live 10 hrs away from them. Thank you so much for your prayers.

Would you like to offer a kind word, encouragement, an inspiring quote, or prayer to a fellow chronic illness traveller? On hard days when it seems almost impossible to take one more step, sometimes it soothes the spirit to extend ourselves a bit. Writing a note to a fellow traveller could be just that.
And it’s simple to do!
Stop by the Prayer Pond and as you read through the requests, when God tugs at your heart, pause and pray, then consider writing a note, card or letter to encourage that person too.
Who do you know that you could bless with a note of encouragement? Ask God who you could send a little #PenToPaper love, then just write from the heart – a scripture verse, an inspiring quote, a prayer, and/or a few few short sentences to brighten someone’s day. Social Distancing, Self-Isolation, & Quarantine The memes and the quips scrolled by me faster than I could keep up. It seemed that everyone had something to say about self-isolation, quarantine, lock-down, and the restrictions that were suddenly, with very little warning, thrust upon us. I hit the “like” button more times than I could count … Finally the rest of the world would...
Praying When we truly face the shape of our hearts, we can be overwhelmed by the lack that we feel. Sinful, weak, and weary are thoughts that easily come to mind as we carry such weights from our days. But we have a Father who loved us so deeply that He sent His Son to be our Savior in those weakest places. Our Savior felt every weakness we have ever faced, and took them all to the cross for...
Anxiety and Shame in Chronic Illness The day was sunny and beautiful as we drove into the parking lot, but I did not feel much beauty in my heart. In fact, sudden tears rose unbidden to the surface as the medical center came into view. I had been to this same parking lot many times in the past year, but I had carefully kept my back turned to the door that led to the Infusion Center....

Discover a spiritual path consisting of three stepping-stones: Solitude (learning not to be alone but to be alone with God); Silence (the discipline by which the inner fire of God is tended and kept alive); and Prayer (standing in the presence of God with the mind in the heart).
Ruth Haley Barton
Do you long for a deep, fundamental change in your life with God? Do you desire a greater intimacy with God? Spiritual disciplines are activities that open us to God’s transforming love and the changes that only God can bring about in our lives. This book takes you more deeply into understanding seven key disciplines along with practical ideas for weaving them into everyday life.
Christians are taught in their churches and schools that prayer is the most powerful way to experience God. But few receive instruction or guidance in how to make prayer genuinely meaningful. In Prayer, renowned pastor Timothy Keller delves into the many facets of this everyday act.
This collection of short stories, reflections, and poems from Jill Briscoe centers on the theme of our relationship with God, and how that relationship must be our daily priority in good times and bad.
