Please pray that God keeps doctor (of 25 years) healthy and active or that God provides a matching alternative, that God blesses me with income to purchase medication and pay responsibilities, that God ensures needed medications and supplies arrive on time, that others are supportive and compassionate to our age, needs and circumstances, that God grants peace, prosperity, Christian obedience and God's Ever Presence, Leadership and Help in our lives. In Jesus Name

My family has been journeying through a stark wilderness with physical, spiritual, psychological, relational, and financial devastation for the last several years. God has been merciful. and not only has He sustained us, and taught us, but He has also blessed us in this season. But, we are all so weary. Please pray that God would bring us into a new land with wide open pastures and abundant, reliable streams, as well as healing from the damage that we have incurred in this time of trial. Thank you for your prayers for my family

I am in desperate need of prayer covering. I have been struggling for months with depression, anxiety, and loneliness. I am being treated by a psychiatrist, but no counseling or therapy other than medication. Anxiety has been a lifelong battle, especially in regards to fears of abandonment and being alone. I rarely leave the house due to the chronic illnesses, sleeping 12+ hours and sometimes more. I rarely drive. Watch church service online but not the same. My husband and parents are all believers and pray over me often.
I struggle more than any other with the lies of Satan telling me I'm not ready to meet the Lord and so I pray multiple times seeking to know that I have salvation.

A roommate in the hospital I'm in now needs prayer. She was to start work as a hospital Chaplain in December. A fluke movement of her back has damaged nerves in her leg and foot. Next week she should have an operation -- with no guarantees for success. Waves of pain return over and over. The MRI can't find the source of the problem.
She has been preparing for this task as Hospital Chaplain for a long time. Now this.
I promised to send a prayer request around the world.

This prayer has been answered!
I want to thank God for answering one of the prayer requests I posted in this group. My washing machine had developed a mold smell in it and all my clothes got a mold smell after washing in the machine. After months of trying different products other than bleach to get rid of smell, I used bleach which got rid of mold in machine. Yippee! I was sick for days after being exposed to the bleach because of my allergies, but now am better. I washed 3 loads and no mold smell came back. Praising God! I still get sick when in same room because of hot water heater which I bought recently and the paint that was used on it makes me dizzy. Now I need for God to show me how to cover up that paint so I don't get sick from it. Thank you for your prayers.

Thank you, Bettie G and everyone who has prayed for me! I had successful carotid "clean-out" surgery on the right side on December 27. My healing has been a rough road with much pain, and it has flared up my chronic pain issues in my head, neck, upper back and shoulders. I am doing my best to rest and let my body heal, and my daughter has been a big help for me (she lives with me). Please pray my healing continues to go well with reduced pain, as all I can use is tylenol. Also, the left side carotids will need to be done also, and I am hoping it can be put off for a couple months to give me time to get back on my feet. I am so grateful to God they found this problem before I had a small stroke or worse! And, again, I am grateful for prayer support through it.

Do you ever feel that this world, our world, is spinning off its axis? If you have received an email or card mailed to you this month from the Chronic Joy Prayer Pond, you might have received this verse included with your note: “The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge.” Psalm 46:7 It is a verse that has been on repeat in my heart through these many weeks of turmoil. Someone just prayed for you. The hour was late, and I was feeling the weight of pain as I rushed to get ready to leave. Yet another medication, along with the disease itself, had caused strange side effects for me. But this time, the on-call nurse told me to get into the ER as soon as I could. This particular reaction was one to be taken very seriously. I sent off a few quick prayer...
Leading Are you someone who enjoys planning your calendar weeks and months ahead? My days used to be full that way. Oh, I still have a digital calendar where I keep track of important appointments. But ever since chronic illness came upon the scene, I am much better at keeping a “To-Done-List” (no matter how small it might seem,) instead of a “To-Do-List.” When the days ahead seem to be...

Discover a spiritual path consisting of three stepping-stones: Solitude (learning not to be alone but to be alone with God); Silence (the discipline by which the inner fire of God is tended and kept alive); and Prayer (standing in the presence of God with the mind in the heart).

Do you long for a deep, fundamental change in your life with God? Do you desire a greater intimacy with God? Spiritual disciplines are activities that open us to God’s transforming love and the changes that only God can bring about in our lives. This book takes you more deeply into understanding seven key disciplines along with practical ideas for weaving them into everyday life.
Christians are taught in their churches and schools that prayer is the most powerful way to experience God. But few receive instruction or guidance in how to make prayer genuinely meaningful. In Prayer, renowned pastor Timothy Keller delves into the many facets of this everyday act.
This collection of short stories, reflections, and poems from Jill Briscoe centers on the theme of our relationship with God, and how that relationship must be our daily priority in good times and bad.
