I need a new heater for this cold weather. I have a brand new one that was given to me but it has a smell coming from it when it heats up and giving me allergy symptoms so I can't use it. It's all metal like I need but still having breathing problems when it's turned on. I'm in Florida but the last 2 days it's been down in 50 degree temps. The inside temp in my house is 70 degrees which is making me so cold. I've tried to buy another heater but all of them have some kind of plastic on them which makes me sick. The other request is still that I don't have enough food to eat. You all have already been praying for this need that I posted several months ago, but nothing has changed and still losing weight and feeling weaker each day. I need God to touch my body. God Bless you all!

I want to praise our Father for little steps of healing grace that I have seen from Him in these past few weeks. Thank you so much my brothers and sisters in Christ for your prayers. God is moving and I feel Him working. Praise His name forever!

This ME space is like no other I've ever walked in. I've know grief walks and "normal" illness walks of my own and family members but this, this unknowing space beats them all. Simply put could you pray that I will indeed trust with all my heart what I can't understand, so that I then hear the Father say this is how you should walk in this space. Thank you.

Dear Father, Thank you for the true hope that You bring to us:
"And hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us." Romans 5:5
Oh, Lord, we confess that this world has covered us with so much shame. There are days when hope feels like a fairy tale. And yet, we thank You for Your Holy Spirit that speaks Your truth into the deep cries we utter. You have poured Your love right here. We lift our broken places to You, and we lift our broken prayers to you. Wash over the dark places with Your holy light and living water. Stir up hope that comes from Your Spirit. Thank You for Your deep, deep love.
In the name of Your Son, Jesus, we pray. Amen.

This is a praise report to share: Thank you all for praying for me with the cyst removal from my eyelid last week. The Eye Doctor was able to remove it, and all went relatively smoothly with no allergic reactions! What a blessing to feel the prayers lifting me up during the procedure and during the days that followed as my body recovered.

It's hard to know where to begin but, here goes! Recently, I had a heart stent inserted. I have been a diabetic for 40+ years now and may have contributed to my heart disease. It was also discovered that I have Gerd.
I sense now, my more intense problems are stemming from my inability to sleep and as a result, I cannot make good decisions, especially when it comes to diet. I have lost weight recently without any physical activity. I have also experienced a great deal of anxiety and depression.
I know our Father is with me. He reassures me of this even as I just recorded it here. I need His touch for my emotional and mental stresses. I have a wonderful group of prayer supporters at my church. I was privileged to spend 7 years in China as God's ambassador and have a great support group at the Chinese church here in America that I am privileged to be connected to.
I feel like my needs cover the wide range of emotional, spiritual and physical. Not sure what my next step or steps should be but I do know He knows my every need.
Please pray that I react to these enormous challenges as our Father would lead. Thank you so much prayer warriors!

Due to my chronic illness, I have had a bad flare and need God to restore me to baseline so I can care for my family. I feel so sad that I am sick so often and am missing out on precious times.

Update/Praise Reports: I have not found a job, but now I understand why, and God has given me peace about it. A more serious health problem has been uncovered that will probably require surgery, and I see the surgeon on November 6.
Thank you, Lord, that I have received gift funds to help get my van in better working order!
My doctor made an adjustment to my medication which has improved my depression and fatigue tremendously!
My pain is still present, but I handle it better now. Every day a bit different, and weather changes have started to cause more problems. But the Lord is with me always and I am learning how His grace is sufficient.
I am in the middle of an insurance change that will cost me more out-of-pocket for all medical services. Please pray that the doctors will allow me to pay in increments if the amount is more than I have available.

#PrayerMonday is an invitation to pray for this ministry, for those affected by chronic physical and/or mental illness, and for each prayer request tossed into our Prayer Pond. We’ve created a Prayer Focus calendar and encourage you to sign-up and commit to praying during a specific hour – to link arms with us in bringing radical hope and compassionate change to the world through the power of prayer.
Would you like to offer a kind word, encouragement, an inspiring quote, or prayer to a fellow chronic illness traveller? On hard days when it seems almost impossible to take one more step, sometimes it soothes the spirit to extend ourselves a bit. Writing a note to a fellow traveller could be just that.
And it’s simple to do!
Stop by the Prayer Pond and as you read through the requests, when God tugs at your heart, pause and pray, then consider writing a note, card or letter to encourage that person too.
Who do you know that you could bless with a note of encouragement? Ask God who you could send a little #PenToPaper love, then just write from the heart – a scripture verse, an inspiring quote, a prayer, and/or a few few short sentences to brighten someone’s day. If you need a little inspiration to get you started, scroll down to the prayer printables for some great ideas

Praying When we truly face the shape of our hearts, we can be overwhelmed by the lack that we feel. Sinful, weak, and weary are thoughts that easily come to mind as we carry such weights from our days. But we have a Father who loved us so deeply that He sent His Son to be our Savior in those weakest places. Our Savior felt every weakness we have ever faced, and took them all to the cross for...
Anxiety and Shame in Chronic Illness The day was sunny and beautiful as we drove into the parking lot, but I did not feel much beauty in my heart. In fact, sudden tears rose unbidden to the surface as the medical center came into view. I had been to this same parking lot many times in the past year, but I had carefully kept my back turned to the door that led to the Infusion Center....
Lenten Season The Season of Lent is a time of pausing and reflecting about what our Lord Jesus has won for us: New Life in God, the salvation of our souls! Every year we come around to this time again, pondering the weight of what Jesus bore for us. He gave His life so that we might live. Some faith traditions ask us to think of ways we can fast from our own wants to make the pausing...

Inspired by the ancient teachings of St. Anthony and the Desert Fathers,The Way of the Heart clears before us a spiritual path consisting of three stepping-stones: Solitude (learning not to be alone but to be alone with God); Silence (the discipline by which the inner fire of God is tended and kept alive); and Prayer (standing in the presence of God with the mind in the heart).
Ruth Haley Barton
Do you long for a deep, fundamental change in your life with God? Do you desire a greater intimacy with God? Do you wonder how you might truly live your life as God created you to live it? Spiritual disciplines are activities that open us to God’s transforming love and the changes that only God can bring about in our lives. Picking up on the monastic tradition of creating a “rule of life” that allows for regular space for the practice of the spiritual disciplines, this book takes you more deeply into understanding seven key disciplines along with practical ideas for weaving them into everyday life.
Christians are taught in their churches and schools that prayer is the most powerful way to experience God. But few receive instruction or guidance in how to make prayer genuinely meaningful. In Prayer, renowned pastor Timothy Keller delves into the many facets of this everyday act.
This collection of short stories, reflections, and poems from Jill Briscoe centers on the theme of our relationship with God, and how that relationship must be our daily priority in good times and bad.
