Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank You for being our great High Priest, the One who has opened the way to the Father:
“For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin.” Hebrews 4:15
Thank You for fully understanding our weaknesses. Thank You for seeing the weights that drag us down and cause us to feel like giving up. Oh, but thank You for not giving up on us! Thank You for bringing us Your own heart so that we could continue to pray and to love in the same ways that You have. Help us now to offer our impossible prayers to You and to cling to You our great High Priest.
In Your name, we pray,

I'm grateful to ask for prayer from my fellow subjects of Christ.
I have generalized dystonia which affects every voluntary muscle in my body. It causes tremendous pain as muscles enter into full spasm with no way to get them to release fully.
I'm thankful to God for giving me a wonderful neurologist who applies botox-- what I call Blessed Poison--to some of my neck and foot muscles with great skill. It has allowed me to straighten up and walk, my favorite activity in the world.
With injections every 3 months, I've just come through the worst period physically that I've had since I began injections 4 years ago. I got my botox yesterday, and am already getting relief of the most knotted up major muscles--praise God.
All is well with my soul, and the request I ask you all to lift up is for deep relief, just for this 3 month period. It's gotten very hard to stand the pain and immobility, and I'd like some release.
Also, please feel free to offer up great heaping praise to God because He really does hear our prayers, adds to them with groans we can't understand, and lives forever to intercede for us. We are saints! Holy And dearly beloved!
Hang on everyone. You are prayed for, and God honors this. Never forget you are dearly loved by God Almighty, and you will be raised on That Great Day.

Thank You for the promise that echoes through time for us:
Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you.
Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life. (Psalm 143:8)
When the darkness of night envelops our hearts, will You stir trust in us to wait for the morning of Your unfailing love? Thank You that the night cannot cover up Your light, for the morning will always come. Help us to lift our eyes to You when we cannot see the way ahead. We lift our prayers to You now and entrust our very lives to You today.

I struggle with food addiction. I really need to lose some weight and get healthier as I have arthritis in my knees and feet and the extra weight is adding stress. Pray that I can overcome this battle, eat healthier, and overcome my food issues. Thank you. Kathi

This prayer has been answered!
Thank you for all who have prayed for me in my search for a new Rheumatologist. I think the Lord may have led me to an understanding and compassionate Rheumatologist, who also referred me to a Neurologist for further testing. I am scheduled for an MRI of the brain this Thursday, August 8. I so appreciate prayers for that, as we try to look further into why my body has not accepted any of the RA meds.

Would you join us as we pray this week?
Thank You that You see the weakness that we feel, and You are aware of the anxieties that overwhelm our hearts:
“When I said, ‘My foot is slipping,’
your unfailing love, LORD, supported me.
When anxiety was great within me,
your consolation brought me joy.” Psalm 94:18-19
Oh, Father, thank You that You hear our cries, and You send Your unfailing love to support our stumbling feet. Thank You that You don’t leave us in our fears and anxieties, but You bring us Your own consolations. So, Lord, we lift up those we love today, and ask for Your consolation to cover their anxieties also. We pray for those who feel that they cannot take another step without stumbling. May Your unfailing love support them even now. Our praises rise to You as we rest in Your deep heart of love.

I wanted to thank God again for answering my need for a new air purifier. I'm so thankful that He provided someone to buy it for me. it was delivered last Friday. Also, I have been in need for a new room heater for winter. It had to be stainless steel and no paint on it. There is only 1 company that makes the type I need and it is $1,000. I was so blessed the other day when my cousin offered to buy me a brand new one and it's being shipped to me for delivery on Monday!!! wow, I'm so grateful! I have been through long trials of needs not being met and I'm so grateful God for providing these needs. thanks everyone for your prayers!

I wrote a note a few weeks ago, and from he bottom of my heart I want to THANK those of you who have prayed for me. I am touched that people I don't even know have prayed for me and whoever you are, please feel my gratitude to you. I feel a little hope some days but don't feel a huge breakthrough yet, but I do FEEL the prayers and I keep asking Jesus for HOPE. My husband and I especially need hope to trust Jesus for financial stress this has placed on us, after all these years of chronic and all those surgeries..there has never been a break medically. But HOPE is a powerful thing and so again, I want to THANK those of you who prayed and I want you to know that I am also whispering prayers for the other requests that have been submitted. ~ Anna

Dear Heavenly Father,
May we lift up our prayers to You, even as King Solomon spoke his requests:
“And may these words of mine, which I have prayed before the LORD, be near to the LORD our God day and night, that he may uphold the cause of his servant and the cause of his people Israel according to each day’s need,” 1 Kings 8:59
Thank You that You see the need that we carry each day. Help us to trust You for provision. Thank You that You alone can uphold the cause of Your servants. Help us to long for Your justice to be seen. Thank You that day and night You hear the words we bring before You. Help us to come near to You with our requests. We are humbled and grateful that Your Word still holds true for us today.

#PrayerMonday is an invitation to pray for this ministry, for those affected by chronic physical and/or mental illness, and for each prayer request tossed into our Prayer Pond. We’ve created a Prayer Focus calendar and encourage you to sign-up and commit to praying during a specific hour – to link arms with us in bringing radical hope and compassionate change to the world through the power of prayer.
Would you like to offer a kind word, encouragement, an inspiring quote, or prayer to a fellow chronic illness traveller? On hard days when it seems almost impossible to take one more step, sometimes it soothes the spirit to extend ourselves a bit. Writing a note to a fellow traveller could be just that.
And it’s simple to do!
Stop by the Prayer Pond and as you read through the requests, when God tugs at your heart, pause and pray, then consider writing a note, card or letter to encourage that person too.
Who do you know that you could bless with a note of encouragement? Ask God who you could send a little #PenToPaper love, then just write from the heart – a scripture verse, an inspiring quote, a prayer, and/or a few few short sentences to brighten someone’s day.
Would you like to receive notes of encouragement? We invite you to sign-up, so encouraging and inspiring #PenToPaper snail mail and other fun printed materials can find their way to your mailbox.
Sign-up to receive special mailings from us. You are our community and we would love to bless you with beautiful images, encouragement for your day, and the opportunity to inspire others. (Limited international delivery.)

Be merciful to me, Lord, for I am in distress; my eyes grow weak with sorrow, my soul and body with grief. My life is consumed by anguish and my years by groaning;my strength fails because of my affliction, and my bones grow weak. I am the utter contempt of my neighborsand an object of dread to my closest friends— those who see me on the street flee from me. I am forgotten...
Refuge Support, sustain, uphold, carry: what do these words all have in common? Aren’t they words that speak about something that is weak, something that is small, something that needs to be held? There are so many times in the journey with chronic illness when we are left feeling the depth of our smallness. Sometimes the temptation is to fight against that, to be the strong one who can...
Dwell The Cambridge English Dictionary gives us that simple definition for the word dwelling: a place where people live. And yet, we each also dwell within these physical forms--our human bodies that are inherently lonely. No one else can feel the precise emotions we feel. No other person can hear the words that rumble around in our minds. There is not another one who can feel the exact pain...

Inspired by the ancient teachings of St. Anthony and the Desert Fathers,The Way of the Heart clears before us a spiritual path consisting of three stepping-stones: Solitude (learning not to be alone but to be alone with God); Silence (the discipline by which the inner fire of God is tended and kept alive); and Prayer (standing in the presence of God with the mind in the heart).
Ruth Haley Barton
Do you long for a deep, fundamental change in your life with God? Do you desire a greater intimacy with God? Do you wonder how you might truly live your life as God created you to live it? Spiritual disciplines are activities that open us to God’s transforming love and the changes that only God can bring about in our lives. Picking up on the monastic tradition of creating a “rule of life” that allows for regular space for the practice of the spiritual disciplines, this book takes you more deeply into understanding seven key disciplines along with practical ideas for weaving them into everyday life.
Christians are taught in their churches and schools that prayer is the most powerful way to experience God. But few receive instruction or guidance in how to make prayer genuinely meaningful. In Prayer, renowned pastor Timothy Keller delves into the many facets of this everyday act.
This collection of short stories, reflections, and poems from Jill Briscoe centers on the theme of our relationship with God, and how that relationship must be our daily priority in good times and bad.
