I have another urgent request for a friend with severe, advanced Rheumatoid Arthritis. Would you please pray for my friend Lisa, a retired missionary who lives in Finland now. She is having emergency surgery on Monday for a broken leg and the repair of her hip prosthesis after she fell early Sunday. Please pray for guidance for the surgeons and extra strength for Lisa to be able to heal from this major surgery.

Please pray for my friend Sherriann who has advanced Rheumatoid Arthritis and Stills Disease. Both diseases have affected her heart, lungs, and liver so that the Doctors have little hope for her. She has almost died several times, but the Lord has pulled her through. Would you pray that her body would respond to treatment? Her husband, Nick, is also bearing a heavy load as he cares for her. Thank you so much for all of your prayers.

My mom went to the hospital because she was sick since Thanksgiving. She couldn't eat and was in pain.
We took her to the hospital and we stayed two days, Christmas eve and Christmas day. They drained 7 pounds of fluids from her stomach.
She and I are currently home waiting for the results of the fluids. The doctors suspect her cancer has returned.
My mom is a four time cancer survivor.
Please pray for God to intervene.

Please pray for me (mentally/physically). My anxiety is causing me a lot of problems and has lowered my quality of life. I also have chronic illness which makes me scared to leave the house, try anything different, or even eat sometimes. Plus, I feel physically unwell even on a car ride. I need this torment to stop so I can enjoy my life in peace. Thank you, in advance, for praying.

This is an update to the prayer request I just sent a few moments ago for my friend Gayl Wright. Her son, Stephen, is in the presence of Jesus now. Please pray for the entire family as they grieve this heavy loss.

This is an urgent request for my friend, Gayl Wright. Her son with Muscular Dystrophy took a turn for the worst, and he had to be rushed to the hospital on Wednesday evening with Congestive Heart Failure. Tonight they almost lost him, and have now moved him to ICU. Please pray for God to intervene and cover them all with His grace. Thank you for your prayers!

I have a young friend, she’ll be 12 the end of December who was just diagnosed with diabetes. Pray for her and her family as they make the adjustments that this journey requires. Thank you.

This is an update and praise report on my sister-in-law Joyce. Back in May, I asked for prayer because she had been diagnosed with a very aggressive form of breast cancer. She was on several rounds of chemo all summer and fall before they could even operate. Today she had surgery to remove the tumor, and the surgeon reported that all of her lymph nodes are clear, with no spreading cancer. Praise God! She is in recovery now and will need several weeks to recuperate. Thank you so much for all of your prayers!

Hi there fellow believers! I am a 36 year old mother of three boys, 7, 3 and 4 month old - I’m nursing him . I’ve been having chest pain. Went to the ER and all the tests were fun but two weeks later and I still have the pain. I have an apt with my doctor on 11/21/19. He’s talking about CAT scans and such. Needless to say, I am gripped with fear and anxiety of the worst. I am asking God for healing and that it is nothing serious. I am asking the LORD for a long long life with my family. And I am asking Him for HIS peace! Please join me in these prayers and for whatever else HE puts on your hearts! Thank you all!

#PrayerMonday is an invitation to pray for this ministry, for those affected by chronic physical and/or mental illness, and for each prayer request tossed into our Prayer Pond. We’ve created a Prayer Focus calendar and encourage you to sign-up and commit to praying during a specific hour – to link arms with us in bringing radical hope and compassionate change to the world through the power of prayer.
Would you like to offer a kind word, encouragement, an inspiring quote, or prayer to a fellow chronic illness traveller? On hard days when it seems almost impossible to take one more step, sometimes it soothes the spirit to extend ourselves a bit. Writing a note to a fellow traveller could be just that.
And it’s simple to do!
Stop by the Prayer Pond and as you read through the requests, when God tugs at your heart, pause and pray, then consider writing a note, card or letter to encourage that person too.
Who do you know that you could bless with a note of encouragement? Ask God who you could send a little #PenToPaper love, then just write from the heart – a scripture verse, an inspiring quote, a prayer, and/or a few few short sentences to brighten someone’s day. If you need a little inspiration to get you started, scroll down to the prayer printables for some great ideas

Praying When we truly face the shape of our hearts, we can be overwhelmed by the lack that we feel. Sinful, weak, and weary are thoughts that easily come to mind as we carry such weights from our days. But we have a Father who loved us so deeply that He sent His Son to be our Savior in those weakest places. Our Savior felt every weakness we have ever faced, and took them all to the cross for...
Anxiety and Shame in Chronic Illness The day was sunny and beautiful as we drove into the parking lot, but I did not feel much beauty in my heart. In fact, sudden tears rose unbidden to the surface as the medical center came into view. I had been to this same parking lot many times in the past year, but I had carefully kept my back turned to the door that led to the Infusion Center....
Lenten Season The Season of Lent is a time of pausing and reflecting about what our Lord Jesus has won for us: New Life in God, the salvation of our souls! Every year we come around to this time again, pondering the weight of what Jesus bore for us. He gave His life so that we might live. Some faith traditions ask us to think of ways we can fast from our own wants to make the pausing...

Inspired by the ancient teachings of St. Anthony and the Desert Fathers,The Way of the Heart clears before us a spiritual path consisting of three stepping-stones: Solitude (learning not to be alone but to be alone with God); Silence (the discipline by which the inner fire of God is tended and kept alive); and Prayer (standing in the presence of God with the mind in the heart).

Do you long for a deep, fundamental change in your life with God? Do you desire a greater intimacy with God? Do you wonder how you might truly live your life as God created you to live it? Spiritual disciplines are activities that open us to God’s transforming love and the changes that only God can bring about in our lives. Picking up on the monastic tradition of creating a “rule of life” that allows for regular space for the practice of the spiritual disciplines, this book takes you more deeply into understanding seven key disciplines along with practical ideas for weaving them into everyday life.
Christians are taught in their churches and schools that prayer is the most powerful way to experience God. But few receive instruction or guidance in how to make prayer genuinely meaningful. In Prayer, renowned pastor Timothy Keller delves into the many facets of this everyday act.
This collection of short stories, reflections, and poems from Jill Briscoe centers on the theme of our relationship with God, and how that relationship must be our daily priority in good times and bad.
