Prayer Ministry

Prayer Pond

Prayer is the heartbeat of Chronic Joy Ministry.

Welcome to the Chronic Joy Ministry Prayer Pond, where you can share your prayer requests, updates, and shouts of praise. At Chronic Joy, we’re passionate about prayer. That’s why we extend a warm invitation to pray for this ministry, for those affected by chronic physical and/or mental illness, and for each prayer request tossed into our Prayer Pond. Whether a request, praise, lament, suffering, loss, hope, grief, or joy, each prayer ripples far beyond this day and the boundaries of our world.

How often we hear, “Prayer is the least I can do,” when in reality, prayer is the most we can do. As we connect with our Heavenly Father and with one another in prayer, our serving hearts both grow and thrive.

Prayer Pond

You are a precious, vital member of the Kingdom of God and of this community. We’re glad you’re here. Grateful for your presence. Blessed to lift you in prayer.

May God bless you and keep you today and always.

“For where two or three come together in my name, there I am with them.” Matthew 18:20

Before you leave today, please #PrayItForward by lifting up one or more of the requests in front of yours. Then be sure to click the “I PRAYED FOR THIS” button to let the requester know you prayed for them.

Thanks to everyone for who prayed for me.  It is so encouraging to get a notice in my email indicating someone prayed for me.  Blessings to all Chronic Joy prayer warriors. ~  Edna

I am asking for prayers for my beloved brother. He suffered a massive stroke last September, 2019. He is a diabetic and is now on dialysis. He has been on a trach and feeding tube. While recovering he has been transferred 3 times from short term nursing facilities because of inadequate care. While at recent nursing home he was diagnosed with Covid 19 virus and transferred to the hospital with penumonia. We are heartbroken that we can't be with him and all we can do is pray.

Please pray for my marriage. I have dealt with chronic illness since 2014. My husband and I have been married since 2013. He has decided to walk out on me and our family. He wants to be happy and away from me he says he has less anxiety and anger. Please pray for restoration for our marriage. I also pray that he will look to God.

Please pray for my dear writing friend, Terry. She has dealt with chronic illness and pain for over 20 years, and just lost her husband, her primary caregiver, to Covid-19. Would you pray for God's comfort and strength during this great loss she is suffering? Thank you.

oops, I accidentally hit "answered" button for this request. I'm still waiting for God to answer it. I'm reposting it.The food allergies I am battling have gotten worse and I can only tolerate 1 brand of tuna and white rice. Anything else I try to eat will cause my face to swell and lungs to hurt. Since I battle hypoglycemia I have weakness and shakiness. God has always come through in the past so I'm looking to Him to intervene and give me direction. I am now battling dizziness and can't get out of bed much. thanks so much and hugs to you all

My son Jason had a massive heart attack on January 17 then had a stroke on January 31. Doctors didn’t think he’d live thought the weekend. He was in CCU for 62 days. He is only home now because of the danger of being in a hospital during this covid19 virus pandemic. He almost died six times and I truly believe that God saved him because of intense prayer. I pray daily for God to repair his heart. He is very frail, but I will never give up praying for a miracle. He is not a candidate for a heart transplant because he is allergic to the only drug used for transplant patients . He is also not candidate for another procedure because his heart is too small. Seems like everything against him, but God can save him. He has kept him alive this long.

Please pray for my son Jason, who is a wonderful person, that God will repair his damaged heart.

Would you like to offer a kind word, encouragement, an inspiring quote, or prayer to a fellow chronic illness traveller? On hard days when it seems almost impossible to take one more step, sometimes it soothes the spirit to extend ourselves a bit. Writing a note to a fellow traveller could be just that.

And it’s simple to do!

Stop by the Prayer Pond and as you read through the requests, when God tugs at your heart, pause and pray, then consider writing a note, card or letter to encourage that person too.

Who do you know that you could bless with a note of encouragement? Ask God who you could send a little #PenToPaper love, then just write from the heart – a scripture verse, an inspiring quote, a prayer, and/or a few few short sentences to brighten someone’s day. If you need a little inspiration to get you started, scroll down to the prayer printables for some great ideas

Creation: Our Lord has Shown Himself Strong for Us

Do you ever feel that this world, our world, is spinning off its axis? If you have received an email or card mailed to you this month from the Chronic Joy Prayer Pond, you might have received this verse included with your note: “The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge.” Psalm 46:7 It is a verse that has been on repeat in my heart through these many weeks of turmoil. Someone Just Prayed for You in the Midst of the Hard

Someone just prayed for you.   The hour was late, and I was feeling the weight of pain as I rushed to get ready to leave. Yet another medication, along with the disease itself, had caused strange side effects for me. But this time, the on-call nurse told me to get into the ER as soon as I could. This particular reaction was one to be taken very seriously. I sent off a few quick prayer...

Someone just prayed for you.

Leading: God is my Guide and Safety

Leading Are you someone who enjoys planning your calendar weeks and months ahead? My days used to be full that way. Oh, I still have a digital calendar where I keep track of important appointments. But ever since chronic illness came upon the scene, I am much better at keeping a “To-Done-List” (no matter how small it might seem,) instead of a “To-Do-List.” When the days ahead seem to be...
