Heartbeat of Hope • Generosity Challenge

Excel in grace-filled generosity!

Generosity is the lifelong pilgrimage of learning to selflessly love one another with our time, patience, gifts, resources, and kindness. It is an expression of genuine gratitude and an act of astonishing worship.

Whatever you give is acceptable if you give it eagerly … (2 Corinthians 8:12)

What does it mean to live a life of vibrant generosity, to give eagerly, and to become a heartbeat of hope for others?

Pastor Geoff Davis defined generosity as, “living life with open hands knowing that God is faithful to provide for our needs. Our ability to be generous is rooted directly in our understanding of God’s generosity towards us through Christ.”

God is the first and most generous giver. His unshakable generosity is a hallmark of His character. We love, because He first loved us. We give, because He radically and extravagantly gives to us.

Then He invites us to experience the life-giving grace of exceptional generosity.

David Willis writes, “Generosity is a strong, powerful, and mysterious thing. It changes us when we do it. It changes us when it is done.”

Every time we give, it is a celebration of generosity, a selfless Heartbeat of Hope whose ripples flow from God’s heart through ours, changing the world one precious life at a time.
