My strengths are closely tied to what I label as “weaknesses.” Perhaps it’s about focusing on the parts that are helpful and letting the other stuff go.
So how do we live through disaster well? We take our terrifying anxieties and our aching sorrows in both hands and we look heavenward. We choose to let despair draw us to Jesus, rather than away.
What do you do with anxious thoughts? What do they look like? Is there a picture that forms in your mind? Does it have a color? A texture? What song can you sing to anxiety to slow its rhythm? Let yourself be surprised by the sudden peace that comes as you name your fears.
