Hope in the Empty

There is worship in the empty, in the longing, in the hard, richer and deeper, because it is more vulnerable. For it is there — in the empty — that God fills.

  1. I cannot help but think of the deep vulnerability of those who first encountered the empty tomb. They must have been coming from a sense of loss so deep, a sense that hope was over, dead. And that is where they encountered the empty tomb; a place of unexpected joy and possibility even in the midst of grief, even in the midst of not really knowing what it meant. Certainly that emptiness was FILLED with God!
